David Choa is the lead Portfolio Manager of the Greater China Equity Strategy at BNP Paribas Asset Management (Hong Kong) since 2012. Within the Greater China Equities investment team, he has been a key architect of the team’s philosophy and has a generalist coverage in fundamental equity, with specialist knowledge of the technology / media / telecom, insurance, diversified financials and materials.
Before joining BNP Paribas Asset Management in 2012, David worked as an International Equity Analyst specialising in Asia Pacific Telecommunications at Fidelity Management & Research (Hong Kong, 2009-2012). In addition to his expertise in investment management, David brings valuable experience and insight from his prior roles as a Senior Associate in Mergers and Acquisitions Advisory at Deloitte & Touche (Hong Kong, 2005-2007).
Born in Hong Kong, David holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania (USA). He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Management Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, in Cambridge (USA). David is a CFA® charterholder and a member of the Hong Kong Chartered Financial Analyst society.
David is based in Hong Kong.
